Bad FJ Holden Empty Bad FJ Holden

Post by aussie muscle Thu 16 Jun 2011, 7:00 pm

This is the FJ from the movie "The FJ Holden". It's an australian movie about youth culture in the 70s (you know, sex, booze and 70's music), and yes Frankie J does contribute some vocals. Holden FJ is a typical 70's teenager's get-around with patched paintwork. The model is from ADR, i got from ebay and i've mirrored the paint job and printed the plate 'BAD-781'. this model doesn't include a rear parcel shelf, so i added a styrene one. unfortunately the hubcaps are molded on, or i would have left them off.

Now thats really BAD, really captures the look of the car . Would be pretty hard to find scale versions of the mags on this Fj. This movie has great footage of street racing at the "Brickies" in Homebush.

A top replica of a car from one of Australia's most underated movies. It's worth seeking out guys. A great job all round mate.

Very nice. Looks exactly like the FJ we used to play in when I was about 4 or 5 years old. She was a dead one in the back yard next to the swing set. Looks the same but had a caved in roof. bigthumbsup

This is really cool - I prefer it in yellow though. Very Happy

I (barely) remember that movie. Think my parents must have snuck me into the drive in or something. Hopefully they show it on ABC 2 sometime in the near future...
