Wheels of Terror (movie)

Wheels of Terror was a made for TV thriller about a mysterious black car that goes around a small rural town killing people. You may confuse it with the movie "The Car" by Elliot Silverstein, which had the exact same storyline and even an evil black car, but they are two different movies.

The car is AMT's very nice 71 Charger kit. built stock, but with modded front grille to make it a frownie face, and i melted the hood to meet up with it. i sold it last year to an enthusiast of the movie.

There is quite a story difference in that "Wheels of Terror" is about a murderer driving a black Challenger and targeting young girls, and "The Car" which tells of a demonic driverless black Lincoln that takes out innocent people and other cars.

This one (Wheels of Terror) is less known and was made for TV in 1990. It has developed a cult following, just like "The Car" (1977).

I must say your model certainly resembles the movie car very well. An unusual choice but worthy of modelling for historical value.
