'60 Impala
Well, guess I've made you wait long enough to see some work from me, been slack as usual
This one was supposed to be mostly box stock. But me being me couldn't do that lol
So here's sorta where it's up to at the moment, hopefully putting it up here will give me some inspiration to finish it. Or at least make some more progress
First up was a scratch built seat. This is a back one.
RHD conversion-
Then I lost intrest in the interior and got cracking on the chassis. Mini tubb job to fit Pegasus Ts. Relocate rear rails, smooth a few things, tidy up a bit... Yet to be primered-
Meanwhile, the engine was completed. Scratched huggers and serpentine pulley system. Plug wire I got off ProBee, and the air cleaner is from Marshie's stash (thanks again fellas )
Something I tried for fun, got the idea from Slowlylearning . Scratched functional (and of course unfinshed) bonnet hinge.
And finally, scratchbuilt airbag. Idea from Freakshow over at ThePartsBox (worth having a look at some of his work if you get the chance ). He actually sent me the O-rings for it.
Well, that's all for now, thanks for lookin'. Comments welcome

Re: '60 Impala
yes nice. i like the chassis mods. once painted it'll be hard to spot the changes, it's so well blended. and motor looks cool.
Re: '60 Impala
Thanks y'all, the idea for the mini tub was to keep it pretty stock looking. Used the original rails, just cut em up and changed the angles and what not.
Anyway, thanks for the comments

Re: '60 Impala
Wow I can't believe it's been a year since I updated this thing
Must be about time then hey? Had a go at triangulated four-link, resin airbags for mockup. I have some free time coming up in the next couple of months, maybe I should knuckle down and get this one done
Ok ok so it's not Shawn-level workmanship, I'm only human you know

Re: '60 Impala
Thats some great work Mopar. You have some great talent there, if only you got into the builds and finished them as they would be great builds.
Will be watching this for another year.

Really want to get this one off the bench, and all the others
*Edit: Also forgot to say, thanks to Marshie for the diff, much better for what I wanted to do than the kit one was

Thanks ozmodeler, I appreciate the kind words. Although I'm a little jealous you've got a 1:1 Might get into the interior again over the next week or two as I find the time.

Re: '60 Impala
Thanks Dale, I appreciate that mate
Now, question. I I were to cast the back seat as a one piece part and do the same with the front seat (which extensive searches have failed to find tonight :\, it's pretty similar to the back one, but different ) would anyone be genuinely interested in them? I'd like to cast them because it'd save me scratching duplicates (lazy I know ), but there's really no use if I'm only gonna get two seats out of it. Anyone?
You can be honest, if you wouldn't take a set if I paid you because you think it looks crap just say so, I can take it

Re: '60 Impala
Of course mate wasn't even thinking of how close you are Should only cost half the earth in that case
I'll get the back seat ready for moulding tonight, and try to find that darned front seat Won't be able to actually cast them just yet though, need some new resin. Hopefully I can get my hands on that in a few weeks or so.

Re: '60 Impala
Update for Adam (see, I'm working on having more than just a handful of built models on my shelf, slowly but I'm working on it)
Back seat is all one piece, clean and ready for casting. Still haven't come across the front seat Guess I'll just make another one. Probably find the first one then
How's that Dale? I kept the back part fairly clean and simple, but it could maybe even double as a front seat if that was the look you were after. It's just a little 'flat' for a front seat, not enough side support, otherwise ok I spoze.
