'67 Pontiac Grand Prix Convertible
I've loved these ever since I saw this ad in an old National Geographic.
At least the ad made colour choice easy.
This is a resin kit from The Modelhaus. I've lowered it over jellybean mags from the AMT '65 Buick and resin "muscle car" tyres from The Parts Box.
Paint is Zero paints White Pearl with a shed load of The Parts Box pearl powder in the clear. Interior is Mazda Sunrise Red over a green undercoat (good tip Allan).

Geez that is nice Fred. I think this is one model where I would have to see the it in the flesh (so to speak), 'cause the pictures aren't doing that paint job full justice. I like these big Pontiacs - also love the old advert art too.

Re: '67 Pontiac Grand Prix Convertible
Thanks folks.
Tezza - sun hasn't been out since I finished it but I must admit there is a touch of image manipulation going on there to make the white pop more.
More Poncho ads here
http://oldcarandtruckads.com/Pontiac/
I could spend all day looking at these. I love how they exaggerate the width (Wiiiiiiiiiiiiide Track!) and draw the people smaller. Could you get away with that now? Probably not, but then a modern car is going to look like a turd however much you stretch the proportions and people it with midgets...

Sweet build, love it. Did the bright work come plated with the body/kit, or is it alcladed?

Re: '67 Pontiac Grand Prix Convertible
Thanks guys.
Mopar - The bumpers/grille & wheels (which I didn't use) come plated. This really was a treat to build - it all went together very easilly.
The Modelhaus ( http://www.modelhaus.com/ ) is worth a visit. As well as kits they do replacement parts which can be handy if that e-bay bargain turns out to have something missing or broken (i've had to use this service a couple of times).
The website is low on pics but that doesn't matter if you know what part you want and if you are interested in a kit then just google the car in question.

You beat me to it Brett . You feeling o.k. Fred? This is.......well.......normal for you Great job mate, if you hadn't told me it was resin I would not have picked it. Was there much clean up or airholes to deal with, seen his site but not seen any of his stuff in person.

Re: '67 Pontiac Grand Prix Convertible
Can't go wrong with slots Bryce
And they are vastly preferable to the horrible Pontiac 8 luggers that come with the kit (nothing wrong with the parts - it was Pontiac who screwed the design).
