Port Royal – My Channelled ’34 five window coupe
This one was inspired by an old photo I came across of a heavily channelled, unchopped Aussie-bodied ’34 5W coupe. Along with channelling the body over the frame, I also Z’d the back to get the stock rear axle up high, cut in a tunnel for the trans and driveshaft and converted to RHD. The rear fenders are bobbed and moulded with scratchbuilt cycle guards up front. The engine is a Y-block running twin fours and custom lake pipes. A deuce grill shell and set-back, up-high headlights completes the look.
And here’s a shot with its big, bad brother...

Magnificent build Bryce - I like the way that unchopped top is balanced by the deep channelling. In fact I just like everything about this coupe - it looks so cool. Did you shape the cycle guards using a heat source?
Big brother looks interesting?

A truely beautiful looking rod, paint and detailing spot on, 60's aussie look with the bobbed guards and 32 grille.

Re: Port Royal – My Channelled ’34 five window coupe
Thanks guys!
No I cut them out of the rear fenders of the other '34 coupe.
I like to build to a period and it’s all part of the 60s vibe I was shooting for…also not sure that a stock Y-block has all that many ponies to speak of!
Nope – they are the drag/custom exhaust from the ’56 Fairlane kit that they engine came from – thanks to Tubman for helping me out with that!
Thanks again for all the nice words guys!

Re: Port Royal – My Channelled ’34 five window coupe
Bryce, as I said in the pm. This is not a very good pic of my 1:1 34 coupe. it was finished after this pic was taken and fitted with a Y-block. It is now in Western Australia.
