1963 mini Kustom inspiredby Minisota

Tamiya Mini Cooper S with a major roof chop and 1956 Chevy rear 1/4's , started being a replica of a British Kustom mini (now in the US) called Minisota but time and skill constraints changed that plan ...















Apart from the '56 Chev rear 1/4's , the bonnet ornament and flames are from the AMT supercharged 56 Chev kit (I built it standard) , the grille is from the AMT '49 Ford and has been shaved at the back to fit , the rear bumper (holding up the spare tyre) and hubcaps are also from the '49 Ford . The rest is from the Tamiya Mini kit , windscreen has been cut down and rear 1/4 windows are cut from clear styrene (gotta love the stuff that's hidden in the aisles in spotlight ...) .

Very unusual but a real credit to your skills well done.

Worth the wait to see it finished, big job to graft those chev fins on . Certainly has that English custom look to it.

I have a lot more crazy ideas Tezza , just not the time or patience for most of them Gotta clear the decks before I start something like this again ...
