Note the time I took the photo's of the painted body. 17:52 ... Now take note of the time of this post..... I took the photos as soon as I'd painted it. About 10 mins ago I just painted the blue. Heres how it turned out...

Nice work Andy - wasn't too sure about the two tone when you described it, but that looks hot!

Re: JADA - 06 Camaro Concept car.
thanks guys.. the silver is from a honda civic.. and the blue is from a mazda I think..
I think the masking off I did on my aluma salt flat racer and the super stallion really helped with this mask job. If I had tried this a year ago, the paint would of found places under the mask to bleed through.
Still working out colours for interior.... but im leaning towards mainly greys with some electric blue highlights. This build is going to be 100% box stock. No flocking, no photoetched and no wiring.
Even if i flocked it, it would be hard to see as it comes with floor mats for the front and theres hardly enough room in the back for some hanky panky by yourself, let alone with someone else.... so no need for flocking.
going to hit the body with a ton a clear today... leave it for a few days and then polish it up.
If things go well, it will be on the AMCC table at the EXPO next weekend.. If things don't go well, it will be put back in the box and put with the other "headache" kits

What made the difference Andy? Are you using a better or thinner masking tape now?
She's coming up well - going to look great on the AMCC table at Model Expo.

still using the same old tamiya masking tape.. I now rub the masking tape down with a tack rag and I use a toothpick to press the tape into door lines..... I used to just put the tape on and paint...
colour
thats one cool 2 tone paint work.

they're pretty much the same.. but I believe these build to a better model as the box art for the kit has the diecast one as the picture, it doesnt look that great compared to the one i'm building..
Re: JADA - 06 Camaro Concept car.
Yeah these are so much nicer than the diecasts and don't even look like they share much tooling,
Here's some pics from when this project rolled throught Detail Downunder yesterday, it looks sweet in person too!

That is just so fast and furious - it's going to be one cool car when finished. Top colour scheme Andy. It looks heaps better than the diecast version.
