VC Valiant
this was a dodge 330, changed it to a VC Valiant to replicate my brother's car. it was purchased from a local wrecking yard. it had been in the nyngan floods back in the 90's. we cleaned out the cylinders and put it back together and it fired up right away. 6 years later someone rear ended him and messed up the rear and quarter. he didn't bother fixing it, just banged it out enough to fit a replacement taillight. couple years later he sold it back to the local wrecking yard.
the model was done no long after he bought it, so isn't really very good. if i did a new one, i'd base it on the 66 barracuda, which has the correct width, as you can see that's it's biggest problem is the dodge was too wide.

Re: VC Valiant
Been wondering what to use to make one for myself, this isn't a bad effort, almost but not quite, give you top marks for having a shot at it though mate. I'm thinking along the lines of a plymouth GTX, as the body is very close, just needs a fair bit of work on the roof and doors. once again top effort,

Re: VC Valiant
A nice looking car and top marks for attempting such a complex conversion. It's not too far off the mark - maybe one day someone will do a VC?
Good job mate!

Not bad mate, does look a little wide but also too long. Great effort though. You should try another one, I reckon with the skills you've collected since then it'd turn out even better.

Re: VC Valiant
Nice attempt at a VC. My old man used to have a maroon one with the wood grain on the doors and dash, a really nice ride. He swapped it for a two tone FJ Holden. If you were to tweek the grille a little it would look much better. More pictures would be nice maybe one from behind and side on?

Re: VC Valiant
i'd build it using the 65 barracuda (aka hemi under glass) which is almost the same body style apart from the roof and rear, with a 69 barracuda kit for the interior and chassis. The dodge 330 at least comes with a slant six, but there's a guy on ebay selling resin slant kits. I built my wraith barracuda doing this swap (pix at bottom).DeeCee wrote:Been wondering what to use to make one for myself,

nice work on the VC conversion. i never realized how close that cuda looks like a VC though, would make a great start if you were to build another.
