Re: The Saga of the funny car
The other car done recently was the black magic vega, some of the decals are proving to be rather elusive and I cant even find some of them on the web, however it looks pretty good sitting on the shelf without them so I'm calling it done for now
Re: The Saga of the funny car
Cool, that decal kit really sets off the blue, looks awsome mate, and black magic came up just great aswell, couple of cool tuff builds .

Nice group of builds man! Side by side is how they belong - "Black Magic" is my favourite.

Re: The Saga of the funny car
The 1:1 version of this came to Australia and was owned by Bob Dunn and ran regularly at Castreagh Drags during the 70"s as the " Melosi Banger". sponsorship provided by Melosi Smallgoods ( sausages, sliced meat, frankies, cabinossi etc.). Nice work on the model. Cheers Ron

Re: The Saga of the funny car
Thanks guys,
Ron, I know, I have the poster of it from when he toured NZ on my model room wall ( also have the kit ready and waiting for me to get off my rear and get some decals done for it).

Re: The Saga of the funny car
Would be good to see a version of the " Melosi Banger"! Bit more trivia , the Funny was then , some years later sold and run by a freind of mine from Wagga Wagga in the very early eighties. Have'nt seen or heard from him or the car since those days -- we kind of moved on in life. Cheers Ron.

Re: The Saga of the funny car
Love these early funny cars. I may have to dust off some of my early funny cars and build them. Thanks for the inspiration. Awesome builds.
