57 PICK-UP WITH TOY.
G'day guys, started with a 57 big window pick-up, dropped it quite a bit, . it has a set of wheels from an f350 duallie, only the outer of the rears are widened to accomodate a
set of wide rubber, fifth wheel tow hitch, and a set of twin 4bbl carbs on a stock, plumbed small block. Paint is a home mix of Candy apple pink, some purple pearl and blue pearl powder added, all over a silver base.
Now for the toy, started life as one of those F1 style boats with the big out board hanging off the back, no appeal what so ever to me, so i cut out a big
bit of the rear cowel, slotted in a huge blown injected, NOS fed, big block HEMI, to create that drag boat look, now it has appeal!!
Opened up the tool box and turned it into an esky with stock!
thanks for looking,

Re: 57 PICK-UP WITH TOY.
Verrrryyy nice Dale . My only critisim (Yea ...I finally found something on one of your models that does not float my boat - Pardon the pun ) the exhausts need to be drilled or maybe paint them orange like a cover / bag.
Apart from that ...love the whole thing ! Fantastic job !

Thanks Dean, must agree with you mate, didn't think to drill the exhaust untill i took it out to Marshies place and that was the first thing he said aswell, maybe next time, thanks for your input, apreciate it mate.

Re: 57 PICK-UP WITH TOY.
No wuckers.. its the first and probably last chance I will have to pick on one of your builds because they are almost always perfect. I say last because I bet from now on you go over them with a magnifying glass 'Just in case' hehehe !!
What is the trailer from ?? Also I think painting bags over the exhaust ends would look more convincing because im sure a motor like that would have protection during transit !

The trailer is from the F1 boat kit, which came with a S10 style pick-up, i have another to do yet, but am running out of BIG donor motor, might need to go resin, and yes, i will go over my new models with a fine tooth comb now,

Re: 57 PICK-UP WITH TOY.
Thanks again guys, DSF, i think it is a revel kit, but it was an
F1 race boat with trailer and pick-up, was red/white/blue on the box, can't be any more specific coz i had tossed the box many years ago when it was built the first time around mate.
