'57 Corvette Gasser
Quick build, less than a week.
Almost has it finished, when my new dog Bruce decided the front-end looked like a new chew toy! Luckily he was gentle and only put a few teeth marks here and there!
After a few strong words , I thought about fixing up Bruce's bite marks but that's too much work, then I thought why not leave them. Looks like it's hit the wall a few times....well that's what I'm going with.

Re: '57 Corvette Gasser
Maybe you should involve Bruce in model making more often, he has real talent, nice model too.

Re: '57 Corvette Gasser
Now Joe, come clean, You were racing it around the table and lost it didnt ya . Despite Bruce's attempts to help, that's a good looking build of a notoriously horrible kit. Great job mate.

Re: '57 Corvette Gasser
"Bruce Almighty" should be giving lessons on weathering and realistic damage modelling. Maybe you could rename it the "Rat Vette" and spray a coat of satin clear over it?
However I agree with others - it does look authentic and it's mean to boot - a really nice build mate.

Re: '57 Corvette Gasser
Wow!!! That looks great, well done to Bruce on the damage work. Wish my dog was that gentle. Barris the Beagle stole the body off of my "Skipper's Critter" Anglia last year. -Made it look like it had hit a wall at about 150mph and rolled a couple times. maybe Bruce can give him a lesson or three.

Re: '57 Corvette Gasser
Thanks guys,
I'm kinda glad Bruce did what he did, cause I was going to detail this crapola kit to the max. After he chewed it, I just slapped it together, even glued the flip nose shut.
As for Bruce, he can piss right off and leave my stuff alone!!!
Here's Bruce's second go at modeling. First, here's my contribution;
Chopped the roof. Did a lot more work to the roof, getting the flow right. This is the only pic I have of the chop.
Then I sectioned the body by 7 scale inches. Removed the green tape areas. This pic shows the body and fenders cut down but the hood is still stock height.
Then I started getting it back together;
After this, I spent a few days getting everything straight and smooth. Had the roof line looking great, front end was lining up perfect, just needed to fix the rear. Looking at it late at night thinking how hot it looked and can't wait to take some pics in the morning. When I woke up and found this;
I was gutted!!! But hey, what can you do.
Get this though, I know he likes to chew things and I know he has a taste for plastic. I had this '48 in the top draw of my desk. He chewed off the handle and got inside the draw, pulled out the body and chewed it to bits. tricky little bugger.
He's still my mate but his modeling days are over!!!
