'70 Dodge Challenger

Hey guys,
after my previous finished smoothster, I pulled out 3 or 4 models, trying to find something to do next, I decided on doing this 1970 challenger.
I have the idea of turning it prostreet and have picked out the wheels I will run.


I don't have a clue what colour or graphics I might do, so ANY ideas are certainly welcome

put a supercharger on it,flames on it

Should look good dude. Are you going with this stance too??

As for colour, just let your imagination run wild. Maybe flames for a pro streeter will work.

So I went and done some google searching and found this which personally I like alot

Nice choice Adam, go with that. That colour scheme looks like an old early Nascar scheme, can't remember the driver though. It was in a Scale Auto mag.

MIGHTY MOPAR, ya can't go wrong there, if you're looking at doing flames there's a bloke on ebay who does flame masks & he has a generic mask that should do the job, goes by the name :- 65square, ebay store :- Lazy Modeller

Thanks Yahshu, but I don't think I will put the flames on it, I will just stick with the two tone

This is hopefully how high out the bonnet everything will sit. But the actual car sits a little high for my liking.. Time to bring out the Scalple

This is going to look tough - black & gold looks great .

Looks tuff as Adam!! I have personally always liked lime green on early 70's Mopars, but it does have that nice bodyline that's itching for a two tone job.

Slow working on this one, Only got back into it this weekend

Have Almost finished up the engine, all except the hat, and got all the interior and chassis ready for painting (Haven't painted it 'cause of the Stupid Weather!!)
Will be doing it a candy Green with darker highlights.

Picture doesn't show it as well, but the hat sit's level, if not higher than the roof!

Good start Adam, it's gonna be one tough Mopar.
Are you going to upgrade the exhaust to cope with all that induction on top there?

Now we all wait for the weather to fine up so we can see more of that Clark magic that happens when these guys get an air brush in their mits .....

Quick update for you all.

just a mock up of the interior almost complete. Was planning on putting a roll cage in, but there really isn't enough room to put one in.. (even though I made it already )



And the beast is finished. Added some NOS lines since the last photo.

got some colour on this one today. Unfortunately the pictures don't do it justice
T/A stripes are from the kit and the black bonnet bulge was hand masked.


Colour is Spraychief genuine Candy apple green.


Shouldn't be too long now

Very nice Adam, colour looks sweet. I imagine it'll pop some more with some clear.
