TARGA TASMANIA 2012
Hi all, had today off work to go to Georgetown to watch the Targa cars do the prolog( qualifying) around the streets of the town.
Majority of the cars were Porsche, every skyline ever made and the evo/wrx brigade. The classics are dwindling a bit this year, maybe they realize what they are
worth now days, and very hard to get body panels to repair them, as most of them are steerers, not drivers, so the crash alot.
Here are a couple of the oldies i managed to catch.
I think Oldsmobile, could hear it coming a couple of mile away.
Afew GT's of various models.
p.s, i'm in the braking zone, the're not all jacked up in the rear, 70's style, probably doing 140 ish when stomping the brakes here.
A couple of the modern ones.
But my favourite is this sick humpy, sounds increadible, has a real straight-cut wine and the triples were sucking overtime.
anyway, had a good day, passed 3 porsches on the way home, i'm positive they were trying too.

Don't sell the charger!! you might be able to, you can't do it on a bike though.

Great pics - thanks for sharing. Shame about the lack of classic cars but as you say, they are getting too valuable these days.

Another one bites the dust, silver mustang #517 in these pics had a bit of a wooops!! I know there are plenty of spares for mustangs, but not to sure about
a roof for one though.

This is why the classics are disappearing.

Re: TARGA TASMANIA 2012 *another classic bites the dust*
I have just gotten off the phone with my old man who was navigating for the 6th time at Targa this year. He and his boss Max Williams (Driver) came in 4th in there class and 7th outright, needless to say they are pretty stoked with the outcome.
The beast they raced is an Evo 10 Lancer, love or hate them, i have driven this thing around Oran park and i can tell you that is is an absolute weapon!!!
