Pajero Ute
So I am waiting on paint to dry, putty to set properly, and other things on the other projects. I bought this Paj about a year ago and when it arrived it had been squished by Aus Post. Should also mention it is probably the thinnest body I have ever seen.
I was going to us it for spares as its only curbside when after a few ales and just staring at it I thought ...wadda bout a Pajero ute, So I chopped and trimed and reglued some bits ....
The roof looks a bit high. I may drop it a bit. Im going for the longer / space cab look as well. It will have a small pillar near the back of the door when finished and the back will be linned with checkerplate.
Not sure if it will be worth the effort but should be a bit of fun and something diferent (I like different).
What do you recon??

SWEEET! I saw one of these as a ute a few years ago, was on 35"s, looked awsomely tuff, but looked right. Go for it Dean, a few more ale's and who knows what you'll have when you wake up in the morning. ( sounds familiar ).

Love the fact the box spells out the truth about most of these - Urban 4WD!
Loks promising.

Re: Pajero Ute Quick update
Ok I have done a bit more to the ute. I have to say this is such a nice kit to build. Everything lines up where its supposed too and the detail is very good. May have to get another of these to build as per the box.
Anyways ...the chassis is finished ... I did a lot detail painting on the front end only to find the skid pan covers a lot of it (DOH) but anyway ....for a kerbside I did what I could.
This is the chassis with floor pan (Not glued yet)
And with the body on. Still need to loose the rear door handles and lines and put in the window pillar and rework the rain gutter but you get the idea.
I was going to do a body lift but I quite like the height it sits at as it is. ....Suggestions !!

Re: Pajero Ute Quick update
Looks good mate, personally I'd go low (surprise ) But It looks good at the current height. Just give her an outback paint job and It wouldn't look out of place
Keep at it.

Re: Pajero Ute Quick update
I am all for lowered suspension but I think a body lift, suspension raise and some massive mud slingers would be awesome on that.
Cool idea by the way.

Re: Pajero Ute Quick update
Cheers guys. I love Pajero's and this is the Pajero I wish they built. I have to be careful though as its the thinnest body I have ever seen so have to be careful not to rub right through.
Anyhoot back to it!

Thats why they are called Montero's in the states and Shoguns in the UK (or is it the other way around??) It actually means Wanker in SpanishThat's my least favourite part of modelling. such a grind.DeeCee wrote:Sand,,bog,sand,bog........
