OK, another inspired by a song, thanks Dio for the song, and the inspiration.

This gonna be a wild one folks, yes it is, yea I know got allot of things in the fire, ok we made our first cut, and are going to added, 6' scale feet, oh there will be more just have to stay tuned.

Very disappointing, this is the Dirty Donny Vantasy, a stock '75 Chevy cargo van, with very lil to none in custom options, except the decals, so if your looking to get this kit, unless you want to build it stock, your gonna need a full kustom doner van for any good parts, but I will win this....

OK, a Mock up. we took out the bogus 6', it actually came out to a 3' scale extension, so, we have this, but I'm thinking it needs to be longer, tell what you think.

New Idea.

Ok by what I can figure this van is 21' in scale, without bumpers, just over a 1/4' longer then a '98 Dodge Quad cab, long bed truck, which I have been told is 20-3/4' long., any comments on this?

Last version too long. Go with the first 6 wheeled version.

And my Dirty Donny van had more custom parts than my original issue Kandy Van.

Well then you got one of the first ones, this one only comes, with a kustom grill, not chrome, I might add, no fender flairs, a pair of seats, a crapy spoiler, oh and lets not forget, those thingy jiggers, that go down the side, oh and louver'd thingy that go's over the rear door windows, OH! wait there is no window's there, yea I know you get what you pay for, but for a kustom van it should be loaded, with kustom goodies, hell the hood don't even open up, that's another cut, not even a hood scoop, for the engine you couldn't see, if you didn't cut the hood out, comes with port windows the size of headlights, really? c'mon now, oh wait Dirty Donny was noted for his paint, I get it now.....

Nope, thats the same parts. Still more than the kandy van though.
I thought about opening up the bonnet but if you do that you still can't really see the engine.
So how about opening up the bonnet and a clear engine cover between the seats?

What tools did you use to cut up the van?
I am amaazed at the talent that you guys havearound here and the imagination to turn a old van into a work of art.

I use'd embosing tape from the old label maker, as a saw guide, it's high enough, to lean the saw blade against, go slow, and do one whole motion, well thats what I do, once I have it scrib'd in, I just slowly saw, along the tape, till I get it, I use the saw long ways, kinda helps it to give you a straight cut.....

Phase 1 done, a lil rough, but now on to the fun stuff, if your wondering about the wedge cut at the front, where the grill would fit, it's cut like that to angle the grill towards the ground, it now has a 6 scale inch sectioning, just got to fill it all in with plastic strips, so before you guys go on about the gaps, were just starting phase 2....

No stuffing around is there, thats HUGE!! Now you have so much room inside, and you like cutting things up, i reckon you could open up one side, so it flips UP, and fill the thing either with a Vegas casino type theme or a juccuzi and bar even, or BOTH! Laughing
Couches, TV's etc, would be a shame to waste all that empty space.

Gypsy Queen Empty Stuff to still be done

Post by GothicKustomz Tue 27 Nov 2012, 10:51 pm

Actually the interior will be all scratch built, it will resemble the caption quartes of an old pirate ship, yes all wood, even the steering wheel, made from match stick's and tounge depresure's, and stain'd, front to back, top to bottom, yes even with rafters, and posts, even a kewl bed, the front doors i will try and sissor them, made the side door longer, and move'd it back some, it will be gull wing, along with the rear door, those are the plans right now....
