Revell chopped '30 Coupe
This is the Revell '30 Coupe classics kit, which was a stock version, not a hot rodded one.
I used the hot rod 4 cylinder engine from the Revell rat rod kit. Can't remember what year it was.
Chopped and channelled, added steelies and gave it a rusted worn out paint job.
the bodgie aka Renfrey
All these photos were taken in a little diorama I've been working on with some wheat grain lights to add some atmosphere.

Re: Revell chopped '30 Coupe
Looks good mate. The 4 banger is a neat idea, very traditional. Not all old rods had V8's............

That looks great. I'd love to build a rusted up rod one day.

Re: Revell chopped '30 Coupe
Thanks for the comments fellas. The dio was built mainly as somewhere to photo the cars, to give them a more realistic look.
The galv. is scale galv. sheets, glued to heavy cardboard and with lengths of stained balsa wood, to represent a wood frame. The sink, the chair, the phone and the filing cabinets were bought from Detail Master online. They've got lots of stuff. As with all these projects, one does tend to get a bit carried away and you start adding more and more stuff. Keeps you out of mischief though.
The loft/messanine is made from .188 Evergeen channel and scale rod and the floor of that, is popsicle sticks, trimmed and stained.
Some of the posters are cut from a J.B. hifi catalogue and some are from an online scale model accessories site. Oil paints were used to stain the floor which is from scrap timber sheets. The fridge is scratch built as is the roller door and other bits and pieces. The large barrels are gumnuts. Hope that helps. Mgy125; if you want any specific details let me know. cheers, the bodgie
