To the Batmobile!
So Bruce has retired the Barris Batmobile preferring to use the Batpod as Gotham City roads dept are just not keeping up with the repairs and hitting all those potholes with the soft Lincoln springing is not doing his back any favours.
What to do with it?
Well he ships it off to his cousin Wayne Bruce in Melbourne who modifies it for local conditions.
Turbines are for helicopters and ships - what a man needs is a V8 so nasty they banned it.
And Bat computer? nah. Computers are for playing games and looking at naked chicks. All you need in the boot is the battery.
And of course we'll need to put the steering on the correct side, remove the Batphone to save weight and where would we be without an ashtray and a skull shift knob.

Re: To the Batmobile!
Great take on the classic of all TV cars. Rather see some 33 muddies under it and a landcruiser chassis ..... but hey thats me
Re: To the Batmobile!
A lot more practical than that turbine jet engine. Well done.

Re: To the Batmobile!
Thanks folks.
I forgot to say this is the Polar Lights 1/25 middle tier kit (one step up from the pre-painted snapper but without the photoetch or option parts of the deluxe kit).
Engine is from the AMT '66 Ford Galaxie, seats are from the Model King AWB Comet and my parts box, seat belts from Crazy Modeller, skull shifter from the Revell '30 Woody, steering wheel from the AMT Vantasy and battery, wheels & tyres from my parts boxes.

Re: To the Batmobile!
Thanks guys.
Tye, it wasn't too bad to decal once I accepted the fact that the decals were never going to fit properly and that I was going to have to touch up gaps.
Lots of Micro Sol & Micro Set was needed to get them to snuggle down and I had to do them in about 4 stages so as to avoid touching them while they dried.
Worst was the stripes over the headlights.
Once dried I mixed up some acrylic paint (Orange + Light Gull Grey) and touched in all the gaps.
Still probably easier than painting the whole body orange & masking stripes and definitely easier than hand painting them.
I'll probably use the same technique when I build the deluxe kit.

Re: To the Batmobile!
No.
Batman is a vigilante man of the people.
Superman is a capitalist running dog lackey of the establishment (and an alien).

Awesome work - you made a lot of neat changes but still kept the character of the original. Well done.
