Monogram '70 Buick GSX
I'm building this GSX as a commission build for a mate's 6 year old. He likes blue cars, so that's what I'm giving him. It's a bit light on the detail painting and I'm not putting as much time into it as I would if I was building it for myself. Every commission build I've done so far in the last 2 yrs has been a car. I normally prefer to build military and aircraft models, so this is the last build for someone else. It takes the fun right out of modelling. I do have some cars in my stash but, like Khightriders, Ecto1, BTTF Delorean, and a few other kits I'm going to turn into other movie/TV cars.
Because kids like to touch, I've got him the Hotwheels version also, so he can play with it and put this one in the cupboard.
Should've painted black in behind the back of the rim before gluing it to the front half.

Calling it done
Pumped a few hours in over the weekend to get this done. Everytime I thought I had finished, I saw something else that needed doing. Oh well, here is how it looks now after the Alclading is done, black stripes, glass put in and I almost forgot to paint the goodyear on the tyres.
Thanks for having a look everyone

Re: Monogram '70 Buick GSX
Thanks everyone, its a good feeling having actually completing a model, it's been awhile.
And yeah, give alclad a go, it's great stuff. I use their own black under coat, and let it dry for about 24 hours before applying the metal finish. I love the stuff. All the time it takes to mask is worth it in the end.
I used Alclad Chrome on this one.
