Re: GMC coe
Oh the chassis was not build by me it was built by a great mate Ken, I asked for his help in setting up the twin steer and with the length of the chassis as I have never done any thing like this, So now I have to finish this one, Picked up another rattle can of paint today for the cab, Ken picked up the blue for the chassis at Frontline Hobbies. Its not going to be a easy build if I get stuck Ken will help me out, Big Thanks to Ken for his help so far.

I had it with building models had another bloody set back with this one just put a coat of blue on the cab roof and its done the same thing as other colour,so now I will strip it back to bare plastic and try it again. but one thing this is going to be my last build I am going to give it away after this one is built or smashed which ever comes first.

Re: GMC coe
Just spent just over a hour to remove paint with sand blaster only got 3/4 of the roof done, might take me a week to do it. It would not first time I sold all my kits.

Re: GMC coe
I would of lost the detail in the roof trying to sand it out, so sand blasting all the paint off with the air eraser it will not damage the detail.

Re: GMC coe
This is going to be my last build once done I will be stop building models for a long while, The stuff up with the paint on this on is the straw that's broken the back, will be packing up all my kits and unbuilt kits, would of stoped now but my mate Ken has put a lot into the chassis so I will be finish it then no more for a long time,I have become very dishearten with model building for now if I don't stop now I will never come back later date.

Re: GMC coe
Drop some clear over it Allan, then lightly block back any lumps, then re-clear, it should save easily enough, can't see the need to keep stripping it back every time mate.

Re: GMC coe
Finish it and walk away if it stresses you this much mate it's time to find another hobby. It's ment to be an enjoyable past time if you're not enjoying it go fishing.

Hey Allan, I still use Tamiya spray, and I never have problems with it.
If you want to do your fancy one off colours you can decanter them and mix for airbrush.
as they say (wait 5 mins after decanting) use a straw, less mess.
Sometimes its better to take the most common approach to get the best finish.
If this does not work try BCF.

Don't think that Silverfox will let me give it away for two long any way. beside just bought two 41 chevy pickup kits & got a another truck on layby. Going on a trip to Sydney to day it will take my mind off it today.

Re: GMC coe
Could the dags on the roof come from leaving it to dry and dust landing on it ? Next time you spray it try putting some sort of cover over it to stop any dust landing on it while it drys . I understand your frustration mate but take a deep breath and keep at it .
