Ghostbusters Empty Ghostbusters

Post by aussie muscle Mon 02 Dec 2013, 11:26 am

This is my Ecto-1 from Ghostbusters 1 movie. It was a AMT ecto-1A from GB2. I modified the rack and replaced all the little gizmos and stuff on it to replicate it correctly, using the restored Ecto vehicle from the movie as a guide. The amt kit includes the decals for GB1, but none of the parts, which requires all this work. ages ago I bought a decal sheet from JTgraphics with the intention to do this, but it's mostly wrong. the new release has better graphics, so only used some of the small detail ones. After i cut the rack down, i built new boxes and equipment from styrene, including adding wires to the silver box and a ladder. I added mounting brackets to the police lightbars. i modified the rear bumper with a stock caddy bar from a monogram convertible and also stole it's correct caddy wheels. I added some NOS tanks from partsbox.com to replace the half-hollow FREON tanks.
