Devonport show
Approximately 600 cars turned up for this one, there was something for everyone,
Start with some MOPARS.
Very tidy Centura.
Its Magenta!
A lot of work, not sure if it was worth it though.
Stroked 360 in this one, did 12's before the stroker kit went in. Even has A/C.
The perfect beer.!
Now for a few OTHERS.
VERY VERY tidy ute.
A few late model engines.
# plate says it all.
Very sweet V8 EK.
Now for some OLD stuff.
This Dodge was one of my favorites. ( the landrover in the background is 100% hand built and fully functioning, even the engine and driveline was scratch built.
Not sure if it was the fuel tank or his version of a "Traveler".
This one had the mandatory polished Jag rear end too.
All steel too.
+
And i will finish with one for Checkmate. The only van there, alot of custom work on this one, all very well done, just depending on individual taste as to whether you like what he has done or not.

Re: Devonport show
Cool.
I'm liking that orange commodore (I want to say VC as it's got chrome bumpers but am probably wrong). What engine is that in it?

Looks like an injected 5 litre with an aftermarket blower on it.

Great Pics dale. LOVE the van. I so miss the 70's and all the custom vans and cars that used to be around.
That Centura floats my boat. Mate had a 6 cyl auto way back when ...nothing could catch it and it was a surprisingly nice car to drive.
That last pic of the Porsche ...you could have got a bit closer ...can hardly see any erm ...detail hehe
Good job buddy !

Re: Devonport show
Loved the Chargers there and they had my favourite 70's/ 80's wheels--Aunger Mags. Had a set of 8x14's on my HQ Monaro Coupe, with Firestone Parnelli Jones tyes---lots of big white letters--loved those days!! That's when Chrysler, Ford and Holden had proper Coupe's.

Re: Devonport show
Correct checkmate. VH commy with a VN injected 5L and aftermarket blower, sounded awsome, And Dean, if i went for the close up i would have looked like a Dirty old Man, and not just a car lover who accidentally took a pic of the girls as they walked in front of the car i was photographing.
And yes guys, it was an excellent day for a petrol head.
