VW 23 Window Bus
Now I can post these pics.
I built this for Rob as a thank you for putting me up (or, up with me) for the weekend. I wanted to keep it as a surprise and entered it in the show. It came 2nd in the light commercial class.
It's the Hasegawa kit lowered and channelled and the thing on the roof is scratch built and held on with magnets. Wheels are Trumpeter '63 Chevy Nova and decals are a combination of Hasegawa and home made.
Any questions about the Zodiac Killer should be directed to Checkmate via pm...

Re: VW 23 Window Bus
Thanks folks.
I'd build one of these again (or the ute or the van) but only if it was cheap. The body is great but the rest is somewhat lacking. Dead easy to channel though.
I think the Revell bus and van offer better detail if that's the way you want to go.

Re: VW 23 Window Bus
Very surprised when I seen this on the table on the weekend, was a great present and totally unexpected.
Proudly displayed in my display case now, it's a great reminder of the mates and the mateships I've made in this hobby of ours.
You're welcome to crash here anytime Fred and I've already booked you in for April next year.........
Thanks again Fred it truly is a unique and well executed gift.
