Gee thanks for telling me that Sad
Congrats to you though as we have NO drag racing in Adelaide.
I remember going to the Nats when they were held at Heathcote so many years ago. Take plenty of pics.

Monaro I do feel for you as we had a couple of long periods without Drags here in Sydney and it was pretty awful . By the way I did compete at AIR in 1977 with a HQ Monaro GTS that ran low 15's on Firestone Parnelli Jones tyres Shocked I'll get as many pictures as I can. OK

BBK it is amazing how many guys in Adelaide are now into Rods as there is no drag racing here.
I met up with a guy that was racing FED and we reminisced about the old days with names like Sawka, Lagerski, and cars like Shotgun and Leprechaun and my Fav AA/FAs like Plum Crazy and the best paint job around on a drag car was Bounty Hunter ah the memories.
Enjoy lets hope you see some records get set as well.

Monaro we had the same happen here when Sydney lost Castlereagh, a lot of guys went rodding or built street machines . I am still reminiscing about the old days and I did meet John Sawka in Adelaide when he had the white Monaro and I spent an evening with Peter D'Allesandro when he had the awesome Leprechaun Monaro. The Bounty Hunter paint was one of my faves and you will like this , here in Sydney we have a replica Bounty competing very regularly Should get photo,s and do a model of it. No need for memories, its identical.
