Primer for airbrush
Hey guys, been a bit slack in posting stuff lately.....mainly cos my camera has stuffed up......
I've been playing around with tamiya primer and this acrylic laqueur I get from my local panel beaters...
I decant some of the primer into a jar and then add some of the car paint to the primer.. about 70%primer to 30%paint.
Add a little bit of all purpose thinners and she's ready to airbrush. Airbrush straight on the bare plastic.. This works for me, leaving a beautiful smooth finish..
The benifit to this is that I have eliminated the need for a base coat. Whatever base coat colour required, you just add that to the primer.
Easy peasy
