S Line Dscf1317

This is the old Ertl kit that I originally build when I was a teenager. I Rebuilt it about 10 years ago. It still uses the U.S cab and bonnet which apparently are narrower than the Aussie ones. The bumper, skirts, sleeper, wheels and aero kit all come from the Italeri FLD Freightliner.

The drive guards are from Auslowe and exhaust is KFS. Can't remember where the mudflaps came from.

It was painted with that Humbol metallic/clear  red but that was before I knew about spraying another colour first to deepen the colour and give it some pop. I do have a set of refrigerated roadways decals that might look goog on it if I Repaint it white. Would also strip the kit chrome off next time around.

Ummm Ummm the turn table didn't the survive the fall that the trailer took. Not sure why it even left the truck, but it did and is now in a box in 2 bits and the trailer is in the same box in too many pieces to count! It's (was) a triaxle pan the same colour as the truck but the joints between the roof and sides cracked so it needs a repaint, shattered the resin suspension and taillight board. Obviously an indication of how hard the floor is, no reflection on build quality Wink
