1964 Ford Galaxie 223 cu in 6 cyl

Started a new build recently. Converting the "promo-like" AMT 1964 Galaxie to 6-cyl/manual tranny. It'll run 17" steelies in gloss red. Body paint will be flat black and some "de-chroming".

I've continued modifying the engine-dummy:

interesting choice of options, very low buck. Should be something to watch.

A bit of work to get that all together but I'm guessing you'll nail it as usual Darryl, nice start

Thanks for the positives! I've sanded off the Ford lettering front and rear. I did the same thing to the lower front fender and the rear fender emblems and I filled the "slots" on top the front fenders where the chromed ornaments are supposed to sit. The Engine dummy was finished this morning and this very afternoon I sprayed the whole chassie flat black and will lay another coat of flat black tomorrow. After that it's time to put some dark silver to the exhaust.

Put some black primer on this one. Right now building a new interior since I want it to have a benchseat up front.

Looking nice and mean Darryl...........I always like the Black & Red combo.

I know, but it gives me those nostalgic vibes to keep all that text on the chassie! To me, building model kits is very much a matter of "feeling" and getting into the mood.

The benchseat is almost done, only minor adjustments left to do. Rear seat still needs some work as well.

This one has been set aside for personal reasons. Don't know when I'll finish it...if ever?????
