Baron Von Duesenberg
OK Guys here we go. Something a little different.
This is another of my Gluebomb rescues, an old Mongram 31 Duesenberg Towncar that was badly glue scarred and missing many bits.
I have lowered it, channelled it, deleted the spare wheel wells, scratch built both front & rear bumper bars and mounts, wired the engine and scratch built a 4 carb manifold for an older look. I thinned all the spokes of the wheels to give them a more authentic look, and added detail to the truck on the back. Head light lenses were cleaned up to remove glue scars and all windows replaced.
The interior was tub style originally, but as the car is channelled I had to cut it up, lower the height of the seats and add to the inner side panels where they were cut off. The rear cab features woodgrain panelling and flocked floor.
At times I think it looks chopped but the body is stock height. All old kit chrome was stripped off and reapplied with Alclad II Chrome paint.
Originally I was going to leave the guards off but after I got started I felt it looked beter being a limo to have full guards.
Let me know what you guys think.
As it came home......
Thanks for looking
Cheers Antwon.

Dad would be proud of you mate, you get your restoraton skills from him.
You'd never know that was a gluebomb rescue, your work is so neat and shiny.
Love the radiatior cap/mascot
