One of the peterbilts
Late 80's (I think) one of my ebay buys, Very large collection.......Of shit; but you've got to be able to see the diamonds through the dirt
Started in Mt Isa, something to do
Caustic strip...4 layers of paint
first permutation, rhd, 350 cummins.......Leave it alone !! NOT A CHANCE
So here it sits, in it's current form....just details to add.
Cheers

Col;
I used to bend sprue, Alum tube.....then i tried the straws, come in 3 different sizes, use them for all exhaust and air pumbing, when i was keen i used to fill the bends with body filler etc.
NOW.....don't give a F. they are is.....what they are.
I don't build for show.
I build for personal satisfaction.

Good on ya Clea, nice save on the glue bomb and good on you for building just for you, that's the most satisfying way to do it. It's also the way I plan all my builds as well.
Cheers

Re: One of the peterbilts
Thanks Antwon;
I think your builds are great......You've just gotta beat your brother to the punch.
I would like to see how you two go.....by the time you finish, you'll both be world beaters.

Re: One of the peterbilts
So; finished the cruise liner (sort of) should've been concentrating on the "bake off" ..but decided to finish off the glue bomb, as at this time..here it is.
" />
Hate most kit mirrors, was going to brass these, or paper clips.....but: used florist wire (18 gauge) cost nothing if you're nice to the ladies: and it glues.
" />" />
Made the wipers, mount indicators front/back top lights off a GMC General
" />
Bits and pieces to go....should finish it up tomorrow.
I have to admit: I'm enjoying this one...considering what it started as. Might post up all of the build; see if it inspires people ?
Cheers

Re: One of the peterbilts
I'm inspired!
This looks great, you seem to have the knack and motivation to get the job done.
I guess all your years of trucking have made it easy for you to detail your builds. Personally I like the look of the Peterbilts best, but still have to do lots of research to make things accurate, my truck projects are so slow cause I'm not always sure what I'm looking at.
