Fiat 131 Monte Carlo Rally
Built for the Italian theme at Sunday's Ballarat NNL.
Following an all day thrash it went into the travel box at 1800 Satyrday with the epoxy holding the wipers still setting.
It's the latest Revell repop of the old Italeri kit which is itself a repop of an ESCI kit.
It is therefore rather dated with toy like detail and an engine that resembles a silver cube with a stovepipe sticking out the back.
I does go together well though despite that, and there was minimal flash. I built it kerbside leaving the engine out and gluing the bonnet shut.
Thankfully Revell didn't skimp on the decals which are by cartograf and which responded well to Micro sol. I painted it with white enamel and other than the black window trim and C pillar grilles any other colour on the body is decal.
The second driving light fell off the bench and was claimed by The Spiders.
