Hi all , I,m missing a windscreen or two , or they are scratched  broken or cracked .
I have attempted to make them from the clear plastic from shirt box lids before but can not get them to form correctly , any ideas ?

I use offcuts of laminate, I asked for them at an office supplies shop that laminates stuff and they gave me heaps for nothing, its a bit more flexible that packaging plastic and u can put a bend in it without it getting a white mark in it

I used clear shirt box sheet. Try warming it in hot water and shaping it that way,

I wrapped mine around a large marker pen. I heated it in hot water, shaped it over the marker to get the shape, then shock cool it under cold wter to help it retain its shape, worked for me.

I need to make up a replacement front windscreen for a kit I have, Its for the 57 Ford Ranchero ute the one that is not chopped top. Can I use Laminate to make a new one, have the glass from the kit but can not use it in the kit as its been cracked in half and reglued, can I use it as a temp plate to bend the laminate around it, what is the best for heat.

I'm not sure you can use the old glass to shape it over as like metals you usually have to over bend the plastic to get the right radius. I'd find something, maybe a fat marker pen and bend over that. I use very hot water out the tap, as hot as you can handle, but not boiling water that will just make it all curl up end up a mess. And then shock cool it under cold water while still holding it in shape, don't let it go out of shape before it's cold.
Hope that helps

#4 AMT 69 Yenko Camaro #7132 front & back

I have had a ok success with rods , flat and simple got close with the Camaro 28 but nothing like the fit above.. Must say above examples look like the clear come with the kit ,, love it,,
And the 57's circa windscreens wrap around is so hard to reproduce

I may be able to help you out as I received a lot of windscreens amongst a lot of parts I received from a deceased friends estate. Just will take time to figure out which ones they are. Now I have a list I can look through them. I do have full kits of the ones you mentioned so can use them as a guide.

Thank you , that would be awesome , It has taken me 2 days to go through the mixed up parts boxes and test fit lol
Also I after an older released (complete car and separate windows ) AMT 66 Nova pro-street version #636 I,m after an "older" kit because the 2 newer produced ones I have are a flash nightmare .

Hi my friend. Had a chance today to got through the clear windscreen extras that I have. The only ones I could find from your list are the full glass for the AMT1956 Ford Victoria including sunroof glass. The only other one is the rear window for the AMT 1968 Camaro.
You are welcome to have these ones. Please send my your address via pm , so I can get them sent to you.
regards
Kerry

G'day guys... tried all the elements... shirt box, wallet box, gift box,  clear plastic whatever... at the end of the day...I've tried White glues (Aqu***here, Wel**ond) and as soon as you as you apply a little pressure all falls apart!. Am I doing something wrong here?... or is the 5 minute Araldite the key to my probs?...

I have been using Testors clear parts cement or Micro Kristal Klear, either one works well with laminate offcuts
