Stax freightliner
Hi guys, it's been a while since I was last on here but look forward to showing you my latest project.
I am currently working on converting a FLC freightliner to suit the Coronado style of the Brad Jones Racing transporter - Stax
Thanks goes to dad for giving me an old spoiler to go with the truck. After getting the cab together I looked at how the spoiler would fit and it's pretty close. At this stage I still had to trim the bottom for it to sit flat. I have recently stripped the paint and prepared it for re painting.
I then had to cut down the chassis and thankfully this all went smoothly. (sorry that the photos are upside down).
Then onto attaching the tank brackets. It took several goes to make sure they were all lined up and straight.

Re: Stax freightliner
Looks interesting are you going to change the cab to look like the newer cab or build it use the cab as is.

Re: Stax freightliner
Hi Allan, no I'm not really doing much to the cab to change it. It will be like the volvo where I got it as close to what the real thing looks like just with an older model of truck. I am changing the stacks and the air intake to modernise them. I'm not sure at the moment if there is anything else I am changing.

Re: Stax freightliner
Hi guys, another update on my model. I have been slowly working at it but now have some more photos to share with you. I have mounted the guard brackets to the chassis. I have also made the light bar for the back of the chassis. It still needs a little work and I have to chrome it.
I then painted the chassis, completed the engine pieces and finally put it together.
I have also been working on the interior. I've kept it fairly basic as I have referenced a few photos and gone along with a similar look.
