There was a old bloke over Cessnock way that drove one as a logger in Sydney in the early days, He bring 100 plus foot logs off the Blue Mountains, That were use in the Harbour for pilon's. He said there were 20 trucks running at night time, half way along the log would be a single axle. he said the Police would help bring them down and most were on pushbikes. I would of like to get a copy of the small B/W photo of the truck with load but He passed away and his wife moved back to Sydney. Bluey was a old school bloke & in his late 90's when he passed.

No still waiting to get back to it, lost interest in build kits been Buying a bit of HO scale trains of late and working on a layout to run them.

I know what you mean, already been through that stage with the HO myself, still have a bit of N gauge railway tho.
