Impreza WRC 2001 Rally Australia - Petter Solberg

Hi All,

I am a new poster on this forum, though have been registered for a few months. My taste in models is perhaps a little different to most models I have seen here, as I am mostly in to Group A circuit, rally and associated road-going cars, early WRC cars, as well as Japanese and European sports cars. I though I would introduce my builds with an Australian theme at least. I have been slowly building a 2001 Rally Australia "diorama" based around the Subaru World Rally Team (SWRT) and Subaru Rally Team Australia (SRTA). I have already built the SWRT Impreza WRC of Richard Burns, the Impreza WRC prepared by SRTA and campaigned by Achim Mortl, the older 2-door Impreza WRC of Possum Bourne and the Impreza WRX Group N of Cody Crocker from SRTA and a "fantasy" recce car based on a car prepared and sold by Prodrive in the UK. I also made a little Yamaha T-Max scooter with SWRT livery as a means of transport around the service park for the drivers.

So, here is the next Impreza WRC from the 2001 Rally Australia; this time it is Petter Solberg's #6 machine. I used the Tamiya Rally GB kit with, with numbers and driver/co-driver names from the Monte Carlo kit. Colarado-Carpena decals for the Rally Australia door plates. Model is to represent a car about to tackle the night Super Special stage pioneered at Rally Australia.
