Western star Road train
the prime mover was a pretty good diecast but the grille had no detail so it was replaced with a home made casting, a bull bar was added and the wheels were replaced, steering was converted to right hand drive and a driver was added, the first two trailers are plastic and excellent detail but they had to have an extra axle added the spare wheel hangers locker boxes and ringfeeders were detail item that were also added, the last trailer was a herpa chassis, the deck was made from styrene, locker boxes were added and the gates are photoetch items, the pallets were assembled from a kit and the 44 gall drums are homemade castings, the whole thing had the lights ect painted in and decals added before weathering, ( maybe a lil too much weathering on the windscreen ) this model is in 1/87 scale

Does anybody know where I could get my hands on a 1/87 scale Western star same or similar model? Can't find one anywhere.

Re: Western star Road train
1/87th scale (AKA HO Scale) Thats a LONG thing for a Train Layout, but would be ABSOLUTELY stunning on one! NICE job!
I'ma "Train Guy" at heart, so... this is right up my alley!
