The HMAS Enterprise carrier was built by Mike Hunt. The damn thing is almost a metre long, and the figures on the deck are about 5mm tall Shocked.

I swear this truck has been at every show I’ve ever been to – some people must build just one model in their whole life!

"Mike Hunt" .....are you serious Steve? if you say that really fast you will not be hearing anyone's name! I'm not paying out on the guy but back in High School we used to get that name (and many more!) paged over the loud speaker at Department stores for sh!ts and giggles rolf

Well, I was kinda surprised and flattered that my Woodie was voted best Pre 1950 car. It's no show model, just built to refelect the way I'd do it if I could afford a real one.

My '34 salt racer picked up a second place in cometition cars, the 300C, second in the '50 to '65 class and the Hot Rod Garage was second diorama, which I guess was a given, since there were only two Dioramas and the winner was a most awesome piece.

As for the USS Enterprise, what a totally incedible model! Took over ten years to build and the stuff visible in the pics is nothing to what can be seen looking inside the ship. The detail in this model is unbelievable, especially considering the tiny size of things like the people and equipment on the deck.

I now know this is Jason's from The Parts box, it was one of quite a few very noicely built rods on the crowded pre 1950 table.

This one was from The Parts Box, to demo thier new water based paint. Had I taken my brushes and one-shot I could have striped in the panels making it the perfect mild kustom Chevy.

I've seen it a few times, although at first I thought it was paul's shop truck. Somehow I don't think it's the only model the owner has ever built as it was displayed with other fine models, presumably by the same builder. It's just one of those models that stands out, because you don't see many of them and it's good enough that it can still hold it's own at a show even after many years.

The 3 window (and I love that firewall) was IIRC built to show off the TPB Nailhead.
