Re: not your average RM chopper
Help, I think this threads been hijacked by the chevy nutter.
Any way back on track.Bryce and Clutch, What part do you want to know how to do?
After a bit of mucking around I'm happy now, polished it up last night now for the assembly.

Re: not your average RM chopper
Hey Rocket, I was wondering what you used to mask off for the blue paint, I can never make designs that small work. And now, how did you paint the pink flicks? Looks fantastic! By brush I guess, is there a special technic? I'm very inertested in this style of painting.
Thanks .Joe.

Re: not your average RM chopper
I use tamiya masking tape and use one of 2 ways.
Method 1- using the wider tamiya tape i'll draw the pattern i want on it, then cut it out and lightly press another peice of tape over the top, peal the whole lot up and place it on the area you want it touch it down lightly then remove the cover tape slowly and carfully. now you can adjust where it lays and press it down firmly make sure the edges are rubbed down.
Method 2- using tamiya tape put a strip down on a clean surface with a ruler and a new blade cut strips of tape 0.5-1mm wide.
using the strips of tape like fine line create the pattern you on the job your doing. after you've made the pattern you want mask the area you don't want paint on.
before painting check all the masking is burnish down so as not get any over spray or bleed through.
When you paint start off with a couple of light coats to seal the edges of the tape this will hold it down and prevent any bleed when you do heaveir coats.
I can do a tutorial with photo's if you want. you have to wait a couple of weeks though.
