Station Wagons/'67 Chev Impala version
Having a soft spot for station wagons, since my first car was an EH Wagon ,then a few others since . As models go, there hasn't been a great choice in wagons. When I discovered what was available in resin , I found it opened up a new world of choices , and to my surprise a '67 Impala was available . I proceeded to aquire by ways and means, then ended up with this ;
It will be pretty much stock, painted Ermine White or similar and will be a tow car for something,haven't decided yet.

Yeah that's cool - you could certainly sleep fairly comfortably
in the back of a tank like that!

Pretty much stock standard , except for corvette valve covers and afermarket air cleaner. Pretty boring Huh! , since its at odds with my Avatar , its either modified , hot rodded or Kustomized? Post pics ,soon ,Interior done , engine almost done and body is in white primer.

Monaro. No I didn't, but there is some stuff I liked . As it turned out there was other bodies that I had to get before any Jimmy Flintstone stuff . So I got a few from Modelhaus , mostly Pontiac Chevs and Buicks .Also got some resin hot rod bodiees (chopped roof)etc .

Re: Station Wagons/'67 Chev Impala version
Aha ! Monaro Very observant of you . I am just putting a column shifter on the steering wheel right now. Next I will prep the body for final paint. Last night I slapped some moulding putty on the left and right sides to get the door lines and window posts so as to cast the door panels for a '67 four door , I'm working on.

Re: Station Wagons/'67 Chev Impala version
The wagon body now has a coat of flat white. I have to buy a can of Tamiya gloss white or maybe Duplicolour white of some sort . and I'm not going with yellow YUK! I'm just showing this as it turned up at the Drags in Sydney. I hadn't seen a '67 Wagon in something over 20 years.

Re: Station Wagons/'67 Chev Impala version
Kynan , I based it on the Wagon in the 1967 Impala new car sales brochure that I have , but the wagon in the brochure has the Ranch wagon wood grain (FAKE) trim. I thought of doing that version , but the trim would be a bar-st#rd of a job to do.
Cheers Ron.

Wagon update ; Body was painted with Dupi-color Polaris White and just received a coat of Tamiya clear. Between coats of paint I scrubbed the body with toothpaste and a soft toothbrush to buff it up between coats . I picked up that little tip off the forum here somewhere , works a treat!

Re: Station Wagons/'67 Chev Impala version
Now that I,m sort of officially on holidays , I thought I would bring this back out of the closet . Body is now all polished up and awaiting bare metal foil when I feel up to it. On the wagon theme . I have been thinking about doing a HK Holden /HT Wagon as I had two of those in the past .
Adam , I have no issues with yellow cars as my last car was a Yellow EH and My current Monaro is Yellow.
Here is the latest pic of the big "67 Wagon:I'll get the pic up as soon as I sort out photobucket.
