Chrome is a problem though, no airbrush so no alclad for me. Using the kits wheels, might try blue rim with smoke spokes??
You could try the BMF for the rims, it works well if you are careful.

Re: Skyline GT-R
Thanks for the tip Tom, I never thought of using bmf on the wheels. I tired two ways, bmf spokes with a smoke rim(rear) and smoke spokes with a bmf rim(front). I went with the bmf spokes.TomA wrote:Clutch wrote:.........White may work too same with chrome and smoke spokes.

I did the wheels awhile ago but in the last few days I managed to, clear, sand and polish the body (the bonnet still needs to be cleared) then I'll wax the lot. The front mesh grille is also in so is the head and tailights and I painted all the window frames black.

Re: Skyline GT-R
FWIW I liked the BMF rims with the black spokes better.

Re: Skyline GT-R
I think you nailed it, that style of wheel is all the rage at the moment with the tuner scene so it suits it well.

Re: Skyline GT-R
Thanks guys!
They were my first choice but then I felt that the wheels kind of get lost in the paint job being black. IMO the chrome spokes continue with the silver fade plus as Kane said, it's all the rage at the moment.zenrat wrote:

Re: Skyline GT-R
So you repaint the whole car to suit the wheels.

Finally finished this one, pics are over in the Showroom.
I didn't like both side windows being up so I cut out the drivers side.
Thanks!
