Re: Prime mover with a Twist.....
Apparently these kits are no longer available but my mrs found some on a website she buys stuff from, was only $32 including postage. Its been ok so far, hope it turns out alright as its abit hard to mock it up and check.

Re: Prime mover with a Twist.....
Okay.... am feelin a bit ancient , I remember a school project circa 1972 where we had to spend weeks and weeks collecting USED matches to glue em onto a sheet of masonite to make a breakfast tray for me Mums Birthday Prezzy. and Now you buy NEW matches in Kits?????
Mind you it was fun testing the limits of the bond strength of PVA Glue. mmmmmmmmmm painful memory, dont put it in hair, especially other peoples

Re: Prime mover with a Twist.....
This will either inspire you or put you off matchstick models forever. Here's a 1:1 scale Mercedes McLaren F1 built entirely from matchsticks.
Took the guy six years to complete it. Here's his website if you want to see more pics:

Looking forward to seeing your finished build.

Re: Prime mover with a Twist.....
Ha ha dont be shy boys, well the truck is definately not 1:1 but it is a small pain in the butt right now cause as you can imagine the sticks aren't the straightest or even consistent but i'll get around/ over it.

Re: Prime mover with a Twist.....
Tezza, I just being a little cruel! Oz ,is taking on a huge challenge here ,as this rig looks as if its going to need a lot of patience to complete. I,d be using 5-minute araldite instead of PVA glue. Keep watching , its a bit different.
Cheers Ron
