40 Willys Pickup

was going to put green bling powder on ute but picked up blue one in mistake the blue looks great.

been working on seat tub cut the coupe one up to fit the ute,got to paint it now.

Lookin' good Allan, what colours do you have in mind for the interior?

clutch,floor will be flat black,seats,door panel Deck tan,dash Buff,all colours tamiya,still think on engine may go with gold leaf,which is a 392 supercharged Hemi.

just found part glue finger print on roof of ute it happened fiting the seat tub man I hate that

Have you put straight clear on it yet or just mixed with bling powder? if straight clear you should be able to sand it and polish after, you may get away with it either way, don't panic just yet. I feel ya pain mate, have done it many times.

man this is looking great so far pitty about finger print though ive just finished fixing one of mine with same thing i think honestly dont know how finger print got on there in first place but oh well nothing like repainting and repainting and well you know but it is looking awsome as a build mate cant wait to see it finished

Tubman have not put last clear coat on it yet run out of clear,the blue bling powder is mixed in the clear,will give it a light sand in the morning,boothy been bling pearl powder in clear is hard to rematch,I knew what happen as I felt my finger stick boy the air went blue,this one is testing me out its the second time I have done it to this one that's why its taken so long to finish, its not going to beat me.

just sanded the roof back with 2000 W/D paper,print was deep in paint surface had to go back to the black to get it out,will have to buy some more clear to make up top colour again there was something on the right hand door side also. almost makes one want to give up building models.

painted engine and chassis,lost diff from pickup kit,coupe one to narrow found a F100 diff and springs to fit under back.

cool well good luck with the paint job mate i am allso at a boiling point with my stang just put the front on it and its crooked and the glue has eaten me paint but will c if i can give it another lite coat of clear green as i cant remember the the colour mix i used either it would probly be ok if i wasnt a fussy bugger but oh well

have striped the colour of this one again have lost he headlights that I as going to use found a set of 40 ford ones the I will be going with ,thinking on the colour that I was going to go with the gold base and clear orange top coat,

Yes i have one tyre in kit that split checkmate. my willys p/u be pearl white& pearl lime. found some more parts 4 the ,34chopped ford del/ when got them all
