"Chantilly Lace" '32 Sedan Empty "Chantilly Lace" '32 Sedan

Post by Clutch Thu 30 Dec 2010, 1:37 pm

Finished this one before the new year happydance
Chopped the roof by about 4inches using Bryce's "Z" chop method. Wheels are from the 1970 SuperBee kit. Added plug wires with boots and wire looms. Detailed the interior as much as I could, even made a hoodliner.
Colour is Tamiya Pink/Gold colour shift over a silver base with a gold lace pattern on the roof.
Had some fit issues in the final assembley but overall I'm very happy with the out come.

Thanks for all the postive comments throughout the build, I hope it was as fun to watch as it was to build!

This turned out really well Clutch, an amazing amount of shine you got out of it. I think these wheels suit it perfectly too.
But I think my favourite detail is your distributor cap. Well done.

Thanks guys!
Wayne the piping is fibre optic strands from one of those cheap UFO lamps. I think fishing line would work.
I painted the strands then very carefully and slowly glued them into place.

Yeah the bloody floods hit Bundaberg area last week. North & eastside went under plus the downtown area. Not as bad as Rocky though, I hear Rocky will peek tomorrow? The worst thing now is the clean up. Wish you guys all the best and make sure the town is clean by Feburary!
