55 Corvette Salt Lake Racer

This is what it started out like.
These are the Modifications
Chassis:
The front suspension was cut off and turned over for lower ride
The chassis was cut lengthways and a small section was taken out to make it narrower
Made custom lake pipes & radiator.
After market moon discs added.
Kit tyres drill sanded.
Body:
All chrome mouldings removed.
The headlights and bonnet was filled in.
The grill replaced by teeth from a MacDonald’s toy.
Window frame removed and window cut down.
Cover made for passenger seat.
Rear lights removed, and rear panels extended and smoothed.
Spats made and moulded into body.
Various decals used.
Fine white sand paint used for weathering.
Interior:
Seats replace with stock car seat.
Roll cage parts added.
Fire extinguisher decaled with ½ of a Japanese war flag and misc text
Tea light candle foil used for straps on extinguisher.
Steering wheel cut down to look like racing type.
And this is my 55 Corvette Salt Lake Racer.
It was a lot of fun, and I learnt a lot (mostly what not to do).
