Moebius Lonestar in progress
Hi Fellas, I have put the Flintstone down for a while, and am building straight from the box the new Moebius Lonestar. I have found it to be a great kit, but there are a few numbering issues I have been writing down. I'm am painting the chassis red, like my granddad's Mack B61 but I dont know what colour to paint the cab. I was thinking white, metalic blue, or gunmetal grey. I open to options with this fellas. Looks fabulous so far. This will be fascinating to watch it progress. IMO metallic blue would suit the body lines.

I've got to get half a dozen of these, I love them in so many different colour combo's, I wouldn't know where to start. Keep us informed on the progress, you are our test builder on this one.

Only one fit issue so far, I had to drill a hole in the steering box (part 170) for a steering rod (Part #177) so it could mount up to the steering box. Everything else has fitted perfectly so far. Very little flash seen also.
I have painted the chassis duraperm red, and will do the cab in gunmetal. I have some nice custom pinstriping (dark blue, light blue and silver) that will suit the gunmetal.

Sorry about the lack of updates. I have only laid some paint on the chassis and radiator. I am waiting for my dad to get back from his work as I am using his sprayggun and aircompressor. I will post progress shots once the chassis is completed, hopefully in the next 7 days. Cheers

Re: Moebius Lonestar in progress
Looking great so far. Moebius appear to have done a nice job on this kit, I can't wait to see what their Hudson Hornet is like.

Re: Moebius Lonestar in progress
Hi guys, just a quick update on the Lonestar, Painted the cab etc pearl white, plan to use some basic pinstriping, maybe a company logo on the doors also. I also ordered a Hudson Hornet seeing how good this kit is. Its taking a while to build as there is so much detail painting to do to make it look right. This will also be my third time using bare metal foil and I get mixed results with that also. Hopefully another update next week. Ben
