Re: Victorian Hot Rod Show 2012
Yup, the model show is on as usual and there's some great prizes to be won.
So if you want to participate, bring your models into the show on Thursday evening or Friday.
If you want more info, drop me an email at tinshed@ozemail.com.au or call me on 0419815037, however be warned I may not answer the phone immediately and might take some time to call back, so email might be best.

Re: Victorian Hot Rod Show 2012
For those who haven't been before this is a great show. The car park out the front equals what is inside except that what you see out there you know is driven.
And be prepared to sweat if its a hot day - the exhibition building has no aircon and damn little flow through. Nice floor though.

Re: Victorian Hot Rod Show 2012
So who is up for being part of the model Car Show.
Great tropies and prizes up for grabs and you get a free pass for the show.
Entry is simple: Just rock up after 5:00pm on Thursday evening (set up night) and make sure to bring your models with you.
Place your models on the tables and leave the rest to us.
Trophy presentations are Sunday arvo, so if you come back for that then after collecting your trop[hies and prizes just hang around until closing time when you can pack up your models and head for home.

Re: Victorian Hot Rod Show 2012
Model tables are close to capacity and the show opens at 10:00am tomorrow, closing at 10:00pm.
I think it's 9:00 to 10:00pm on Saturday and 9:00am to 6:00pm on Sunday.
There's plenty of really neat 1/1 scale stuff including hot rods, kustoms, street machines, classics and everything in between.
Don't forget to stop by the model car display and say gudday.

Yeah,Sherrif's there with about a thousand kits as usual.Kits upstairs for sale at a few vendors too.
Why is Luke not there? When i used to go I'd sell a MASSIVE amount of stock!! Best event of the year for sales,it was.

Cool. Thanks.
Dave (koolkits) used to sell there but I guess Luke can't do all his own commitments plus all Dave's and still have a life.

Re: Victorian Hot Rod Show 2012
Pics from the Hot Rod Show have been posted in the Member's Only section, under Spike426's topic 2012 Vic Hot Rod Show. Enjoy!
There was a good number of model car retailers there including Geoff Sherrif (NSW) and Sabe's Hobbyhouse in Frankston, plus Moonee Ponds Hobbies and other smaller retailers clearing stock. I heard they did a roaring trade due to the vast numbers of visitors attending the Show. Certainly wherever I went those stands were being well patronised.

Re: Victorian Hot Rod Show 2012
Great show as usual. Yesterday I arrived at 10.30 am and the line for tickets was right around both sides of the fountain, in all the years I've been going I have never seen it like that.
spent some money at the model retailers, couple of kits and some parts from Moonee Ponds hobbies.
