Re: '55 F100 panel truck
Looks nice Allan - love the old panel trucks. We don't see enough of them now. As for bootlegging, well this one would hold a few gallons I'm sure!
Personally I like dark colours on curvaceous vehicles - shows up the lines better IMO. What about dark purple or grape over the titanium gold?
Keep us posted on this one - great choice mate.

Re: '55 F100 panel truck
Tezza43, the titanium gold was to pale so gave it a few coats of tamiya Gold leaf which is darker, got some clear red and dark blue, may mix bit of both together to get a purple colour.

Re: '55 F100 panel truck
Purple would look nice on the old van Allan, she's got mould line issues like all older kits.

checkmate I thought it sould not have the mould line at the top of the door that goes up top roof then to the rear too but been looking at 1.1 panels truck its there only removed on some that's been Hot Rodded, going to put a clear red coat first then a clear blue coat on top,it will give me a purplish colour if I put blue down first it will go greenish colour.

Re: '55 F100 panel truck
All it needs now is a transparent dark blue coat to turn it purple, then again it looks damn good in red too. Decisions, decisions!

Re: '55 F100 panel truck
Thank's mgy125,it was going Ok untill I put the clear coat on it, ,justed looked at it and the clear has dryed and pulled the paint way from the front and rear doors gaps, one can see the black plastic I can not believe its done it,the auto clear has done it. think I just pack up my models and do something else.
