Austin A40 Gasser...Devon 4 Doored version
OK here I go again...
this time with more success
It's a Revell '50 Austin coupe kit (the two door model the yanks used), but I had to convert it to a four door & right hand drive which we here in Oz had more of.
Still have to finish the grill and add headlights.
note: please excuse the bodgy hand sign written lettering..but I don't have the availability to get decals done anymore...my guy in the States has slipped off the radar (shame..D'kal Dan was the MAN!).
..Here is the A40 in the putty & sanding stage...
..just after the green colour coat..
..the 80% finished version...

So the mystery of the disappearing Austin is solved! I'm glad 'cause it's looking sweet so far, and I don't mind the hand-lettered signage either. Great job there mate.

good job on the conversion Scotty, and your lettering looks great
Re: Austin A40 Gasser...Devon 4 Doored version
The lettering is excellant. Not 100% convinced about the graphic behind it but still very much better than my shaky hands could manage.

What are you on about?!? That looks pretty freakin' sweet to me!! Looks just like the sort of stuff you see in old drag racing pics from the 60's and early 70's. Well done.

Yeah I was waiting for someone to mention that.. ...it was supposed to be a fine lacing ..but it bled through too muchzenrat wrote:

Great conversion Scotty, good to see some ozzy versions done. Anything with lace or panel paint has got to be good.
