'36 Forvette!
Yesterday I did some parts sorting, which included breaking up the bits from a couple of incomplete kits. One was an old Revell '36 coupe that had been badly moulded, whereby not enough plastic had been injected into some of the moulds, thus the chassis and interior parts are a little less than what they should be. For example, part of the front seat is missing, likewise one door trim is less than half a door trim and the chassis is missing one front rail and the crossmember. The other car was a swapmeet AMT 'Vette that I'd grabbed as a source of cheap parts.
So having sorted all the small parts out, I was pondering the bodies and suddenly I found myself with Dremel tool in hand and plastic chips flying.
The end result is this…
I have no idea where it will go next, but I'm thinking maybe the Vette front mask needs to be merged with the '36 front fenders and the rear fenders trimmed and moulded to the new rear body panels. I'm not yet sure, so you'll just have to be patient and see where the voices in my head lead me.

Re: '36 Forvette!
If I may, the rear end looks a tad too long. From the rear it looks pretty good, but I just can't wrap my head around that first pic.
Maybe it will sort itself out once you get the front done, otherwise if it were me (which of course it's not, so do whatever the heck you want ) I'd shorten it a bit, or lengthen the roof.
Carry on Sir

Re: '36 Forvette!
I have a '40 Ford chassis and fenders that I think may work better than using the '36 fenders.
The '36 chassis is toast anyhow, so it's not going to work.

Re: '36 Forvette!
Nah, I have plenty of my own, but thanx for the offer.
Been thinkin' and the '40 chassis and fenders look like becoming part of the program along with an Edsel grille and the quad headlamps from another Corvette body.
The voices in my head are saying it needs to be sectioned too.

Re: '36 Forvette!
I'll bite...
Why not a narrowed 'Vette nose, retaining the popup headlights, that merges into the body with the ford hood ontop with the corvette hood scoop, and the ford grill?

Wrong year and since the one Corvette I do like is '63 and later, I'm not about to chop one of those bodies up for theis project.

But It's a Hotrod.
Some must be sacrificed to create greatness!
(Or totally retardedness that merges into the "coolness" category.)

Re: '36 Forvette!
I'm thinking I should have done the front first, before attaching the rear fenders.
Sorta looks a little goofy in profile, but I'm thinking that's coz it sits a bit high still. Looked lower before I sectioned the body but this looks better in real terms, just that the rear fenders are too high and the suspension needs to be lowered too.
I am kinda happy with the front even if I made the bonnet too long, nothing here than can't be fixed with a little more cutting, gluing and filling.

Re: '36 Forvette!
I like the front, you could move the rear forward and take out the some of the space between the door and the rear guards, or you could make the roof longer.
