Re: 2 x Modified BMW 635 JPS race cars
Finished painting the body of the Group C Today and I am stoked with the look in black. Here are a few shots and also the great new Magnifying Lamp I got for a Christmas present from the wife. It works really well in my new man cave.
Over the next few days I will be getting right into the engine for the Group C car as I will be using the motor from my road going M635 CSI as its very close to the one in the later model Group C 3.5 litre motor and the Interior( rear seats) and console with other parts.

Either those are quick filler holes in the boot lid or you are building a Meercat transporter...

Re: 2 x Modified BMW 635 JPS race cars
Hi Guys
A bit of a update on the cars.
Shells done and ready for Decals, I used the product Called Bare Metal around the windows and they came up really good. The rims and wheels are also ready the next step.
I have finished the main lower body and roll cages of both cars and now I have the fun job of setting up the Group C cars interior which after lots of investorgating an hours on the net I feel I be able to build a true to life example of the Group C car, I am also going to install the roof camera that was used on the car in 1984.
I am using another full Fijumi M635i model to use the interior and the Motor.

Re: 2 x Modified BMW 635 JPS race cars
Spent the last few days getting the Group C Front spoiler right. After having a really good look at it I felt it was not quiet good enough.
Added the Lip at the Front and gave the spoiler more of a shape affect, then resprayed and added a better finish with the bare metal product. Feel I am really getting the hang of that stuff. The respray came up fantastic. Using the motor from aMonogram Race kit for the motor as its is so close to the race car model and the interior from a Fujimi M635 Road car to give it the real group C car.
I have also started a third JPS car of Jim Richards that is the Group 5 320i Racer.
