Regarding Super Glue
Hi guys
I have noticed when I glue something with super glue I get like a white mark around wherever and whatever I glue. Is there a superglue that does not leave this stain. I am doing a few models in black and it stands out like dogs balls and I have to try to continue to clean up the parts I have glued.
Any help would be great

Re: Regarding Super Glue
Zap brand glue (a brand of 'CA' glue that you'll only find in Hobby stores) have a flash free product that does not leave this stain.
They also have a black glue that is specifically targeted at rubber tyres etc.

Re: Regarding Super Glue
I use Loctite but very sparingly, use too much and up comes the clouding. Polish will also remove it.

Re: Regarding Super Glue
Spit on a cotton bud will also remove it if it's light.
I just don't use superglue unless I have to or it's going to be painted or cleared over.
And never with clear parts or chrome.
Try 5 minute epoxy instead. OK, so you will have to pin the parts, make up a jig (blu tac is ideal) or if worst comes to the worst sit there holding the parts together for 5 minutes but it is better than that horrible cloudy mess and the risk of glueing parts of your anatomy together (and we've all done that haven't we boys & girls).
