SAPMA EXPO 2015
Ok SA boys it's nearly time for the SAPMA model expo again. It's on the weekend of 10th & 11th October and this year it's at a new venue, Immanuel College, 32 Morphett Rd Novar Gardens. Should be much easier this year for parking, no hassles like in the city I hope.
It's been a slow year for me so I've only got one build to go in this year, I'll have the yellow '68 Roadrunner in ... if I get it done that is, but the long weekend should get me over the line though.
It'd be great to see any of you guys there, have a chat and put faces to names and to put some more cars on the tables. I'll likely be there Saturday morning and then Sunday arvo for the presentation.
Hope to see you there.
Cheers Tim

Re: SAPMA EXPO 2015
Well 2015 came and went for SAPMA expo last weekend, so in between work and watching Bathurst I went along to enter a couple of builds and catch up with some fellow glue sniffers.
I caught up with my bro Antwon and we caught up with Ray, then yesterday after asking each other "who's builds are those?" we caught up with Brad motiv who's been offline a little lately but let me assure you he's still building. To see his work in the flesh is impressive.
It was one of the biggest auto turnouts in years which was cool, and it's good to know that the word is getting out about the EXPO. Anyway lots of pics were taken and I made a couple of new friends, was a pretty good weekend all up.
So I thought some of you guys might like to see some of builds that were on the table.
Cheers TJ.
I'll probably do this over a few posts there's a bit to show ..
The table:
This one is 1/43rd!! He got 1st in small scale.
Quirky little V-dub combo...
More quirky...
Chrome anyone?
Some big stuff ..
Is that called triple black?
Big scale '57, this guy makes his own parts on the lathe and mill, he showed me some pics of some five slotters in 1/12th and 1/8th that he's made out of ally...nice!
I'm still trying to work this one out?
1/4 mile stuff ...
...
more coming next post.

Re: SAPMA EXPO 2015
Some of this lot were built by a guy who I believe has just joined the forum.. didn't get his name.
I reckon most will recognize Brad's stuff ..
This little beauty got 2nd
And his gorgeous 1st place Charger
Ray had real good turnout ...
Let me know guys if I've stuffed up and posted some thing that's not yours, it's hard to remember who's was who's.
Antwon had this years fleet on show, his oldie stockies are something to be seen, neat work.
and this one I'm proud to say landed a well deserved 3rd place ...
....and his Harley chopper nailed 1st in bikes ... check the Bikes forum.
Dunno which rooster built these ....
One of them even got a Highly Commended certificate... something new SAPMA did for 2015, good idea I reckon.
I'll put up some trucks and other stuff, even things with wings tomorrow if anyone's interested.
Cheers TJ

Combos.
Very nice brick hauler

Re: SAPMA EXPO 2015
Wings! Hope no one minds a few planes?
These two were from a display of "What if's" about what Adolf Galland would have done with a squadron of Spitfires.
This one is 1/144th scale ...tiny!
